AMSTERDAM (AP) — American forward Jozy Altidore scored his 25th goal of the season as AZ Alkmaar lost 3-2 at home to first-place Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie.

With the hosts trailing 3-1, Altidore scored in the 74th minute, his 18th league goal this season.

Siem de Jong scored twice and Daley Blind once as Ajax won at Alkmaar for the first time since 2009.

MILAN (AP) — Napoli kept its slim Serie A title hopes alive with a 3-2 win over Atalanta , while AC Milan maintained its challenge for second place by beating struggling Palermo 2-0 on a pair of goals by Mario Balotelli
